Fabio Addis is full professor of private law at the "La Sapienza" University of Rome. Previously he was a researcher at the University of Tuscia and at "La Sapienza" University of Rome, associate professor and then full professor at the University of Brescia, in which he was deputy headmaster of the Faculty of Law, director of the Department of Legal Sciences, member of the Research Council and the Academic Senate.
In the years 2002/2005 he was a legal expert in the Provincial Commission for the revision of Uses and Customs of the Brescia Chamber of Commerce.
He was a member of the Board of Professors of Research Doctorates at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and of Milan and Coordinator of the Research Doctorate in "Business and Law" of the Universities of Bergamo and Brescia.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Civil Law Scholars and is general secretary of the Union of Privatists.
He was part of the Group of Experts in the Evaluation of the Legal Area (GEV 12) for the Evaluation of Research Quality (VQR).
He is a member of the Management, the Scientific Committee and the Editorial Committee of various scientific journals.
He is the author of monographs and scientific articles in the area of private law.
